Warehoused: an investigation

In February and March 2013, I worked with four other King’s College journalism students on an investigative piece which was later published in Huffington Post Canada.

Our project, “Warehoused,” focused on Nova Scotia’s most vulnerable population: those with intellectual disabilities and their struggle for appropriate and affordable housing. The province’s system to provide housing for persons with intellectual disabilities is overburdened and bureaucratic and governments keep promising to fix it, yet it’s still in a crisis situation. Under investigative reporter Fred Vallance-Jones, I worked as both a reporter and head copy editor for this piece.
